University of Louisville

Project Description

Over the past 20 years, MBJ has provided project management services on a myriad of construction projects across the University of Louisville’s campuses primarily in student housing and medical facilities.

Currently, LEED-certified sustainable construction continues on the Belknap Campus Residence Hall’s new five-story, 452-bed facility.

Significant to this building concept is that it was designed largely by students for students navigated by the Student Government Association and Residence Hall Association. Upon completion (estimated summer 2021), this residence hall will feature many modern state-of-the-art amenities and will mark a large milestone in the University’s ongoing campus development.

Past MBJ U of L Construction Management team projects include
:

University of Louisville Pediatric Medical Office Building, Novak Center

An Eight story, 174 square foot, premiere pediatric care facility housing multi-disciplined specialties under one roof. Clear concise communication coordination played an important role in this facility's construction not only due to the project's complex systems and space features but in addition; the site is tightly wedged into the middle of a busy urban setting.

The University of Louisville Clinical and Translational Research Building (CTRB)

This research center encompasses 147 square feet and its finishes are equally intricate and complex as its systems.  Through the diligent use of lean construction methods, the construction management team was able to move the owner in three months ahead of schedule and at the time of completion, CTRB was the first research facility in Kentucky to achieve LEED Gold certification.
